Tóm tắt This study is aimed at helping the teachers and learners of English master English TAKE motion verbs group effectively. In order to achieve the aims, the objectives of the study can be put forward as follows: To identify syntactic and semantic features of take motion verbs group in English and Vietnamese. To find out similarities and differences between English take motion verbs group and their Vietnamese equivalents in terms of syntactic and semantic features. To give some implications for teaching the take motion verbs group in English. In order to deal with the subject effectively, the writer has a need of using two mainly methods. The descriptive method is used to describe the syntactic and semantic features of motion verbs take, bring and fetch in English and Vietnamese. Comparative method is used to find out the similarities and differences between motion verbs take, bring and fetch in English with reference to the Vietnamese equivalents is used to investigate theoretical background and framework of the study, as well as to collect the data. Basing on that, Descriptive and Comparative motion verbs take, bring and fetch with their Vietnamese equivalents to find out similarities and differences. All examples used to illustrate them are carefully cited from varied resources including dictionaries, newspapers, magazines, textbooks, reference books and literary works. All of them come from prestigious publishers as well as renowned foreign and Vietnamese linguists. Some implications will be propounded for consideration in order to help Vietnamese teachers with teaching these take motion verbs effectively
